The Tides of Fate: Prologue It was a calm, cloudless night at the Genma Port. The sea was as still as it could be, but just beyond the horizon, one could make out a small caravel. This would be a rather odd event at any other port in Tho Fan, the Land of the Rising Sun, but Genma was used to such foreigners sailing from the West. It was the closest port to the West and was often used as a center for trade and commerce between the Tho Fan and Albion. Nothing seemed out of place to the dock workers. As the dawn approached, Fixer finished his small carving. It was a tiny gemstone made of the purest ruby he had. It was part of a special order for Captain Kellington of the King's Citidal. It was to go on the hilt of his new sword, for when he was to be commended for stopping the Ogre rampage in the Menthis Plateau. Fixer had served Kellington in the Last War, and knew just what Kellington wanted out of his blade. As the sun rose over the towers of Sharn, Fixer began to set the gemstone in the hilt.
